DALLAS APPEALS ON BEHALF OF HOOSIER STATE VETERANS

With around 900 people travelling all the way from Atlanta, GA, to Palm Springs, CA, on MINI TAKES THE STATES 2016, a lot of motorers are staying in a lot of hotels during the 4,400-mile cross-country rally.

And with all of those hotels providing complimentary guest toiletries, there’s a possibility that many of them will be left behind and potentially to go to waste. But not if well-known MINI Motorer, ‘Dallas’, of Indianapolis, IN, has anything to do with it.

Dallas, who is driving all way from Georgia to California in his distinctive tie-dyed MINI Clubman, has appealed to fellow motorers to collect unused soaps, shampoos, lotions and other toiletries from their hotel rooms and donate them to his collection, so that he can take them back to Indiana and distribute them to veterans in his home state.

Dallas is completing his fourth MTTS and he is collecting the items for the Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation (HVAF). Thanks to the generosity of motorers in 2014, he collected 150 lbs of items and he has already exceeded that total by collecting around 200 lbs of toiletries this time, which are crammed into three plastic crates in the back of his Clubman.
