TOP THAT! SEVEN MINIS IN ONE FAMILY!

When MINI USA’s Pat McKenna welcomed the 1,600 motorers to the Rise & Shine Event of MINI TAKES THE STATES 2016 in Sioux Falls, SD, he praised their enthusiasm and related a story of how he had met a motorer who had told him he had six MINIs in his family. “Top that!” he told the audience.

In a flash, Paula Taylor, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, raised her hand and shouted: “Seven!” to the amazement of Pat and the rest of the audience at the Sioux Falls Convention Centre.

Paula’s husband Jim, later explained that there are indeed seven MINIs in their family. He told MINIUSANEWS.com that the collection consists of a 2005 Hardtop, two 2006 Hardtops, a 2007 Convertible, a 2008 Clubman, a 2012 Countryman and a 2013 Convertible.

Their daughter, Daniek, and their son, James, who are 23-year old twins, own two of the seven MINIs, while Paula drives the 2012 Countryman which has accumulated over 100,000 miles.

“You could say our family has one MINI for every day of the week,” said Jim, who is a founder member of MINICOW – MINIS of Colorado and Wyoming, which has over 200 members.

And which MINI of the seven did they choose to drive from Sioux Falls to Cheyenne on MTTS 2016? It was their red 2013 Convertible.
