CROSSING BORDERS FOR MTTS

Woodcliff Lake, NJ,  July 8, 2012. It's not just American MINI fans who are driving on MINI TAKES THE STATES. Some MINI owners have crossed international borders to take part.

Arthur Figura and his wife, Maria, undertook a two day drive from their home in London, Ontario, in Canada, to join MTTS in Chicago. They drove first of all to Grand Rapids, in Michigan, where they hooked up with participants from MINI of Grand Rapids before heading for Chicago.

The Horizon Blue Convertible which they are driving to Boulder, Colorado, is their fifth MINI and they're currently a three MINI family. Daughter Jessica has a Clubman and Arthur bought Maria a 2010 MINI Mayfair as a 50th birthday present.

Arthur and Maria, members of Forest City MINI Club, are veterans of many MINI driving events. They drove the Dragon in May, joined MTTS in 2010, took part in MINI Invasion in Toronto and participated in the celebration of 50 years of MINI in Toronto.

"We're a small but growing group of owners in Canada. I like small though because it means our cars are exclusive!" said Arthur.
