PETS ARE GOING ALL THE WAY TO LA TOO

It's not just MINI fans who are going all the way to LA on the 2012 MINI TAKES THE STATES - several participants are taking their pets along for the ride too.

Kim and Fred Pacolitch ,from Pennsylvania, with Cerise and Siobhan

Fred and Kim Pacolitch, from Pennsylvania, have been joined in their 2006 MINI Cooper S by their dogs Siobhan and Cerise and are travelling together all the way to California. It's their second MTTS and they have also taken part in MINIS ON THE DRAGON AND MINIS ON TOP with Siobhan and Cerise.

Jenny Mathis and three year old Minerva, from Los Angeles, traveled all the way from California by road to join the rally in Philadelphia on the first day. On their drive back to California, they will both be celebrating a birthday too!

Another pet going all the way to the West Coast is Coda, an Australian Shepherd, who is riding with owner Sherri Leabman, from New Jersey.

Eric and Lacy Ohnstad and their four year old daughter, Amelia, from Columbia in Maryland, completed the rally to Nashville with Martin, their nine year old cocker spaniel in their 2007 MINI Cooper S.

Also heading for Nashville were Siberian huskies Mia and Kyra, who were being driven by owner Michael Kennedy, from Charlotte, North Carolina. It was their first long road trip together and served as a practice run for an even longer drive in their MINI to Canada later this year.

Another Californian who drove to New Jersey for the start of the rally and is driving back home to San Diego on MTTS is Nancy Homer, who is completing the entire rally with Maggie. On Friday, they celebrated a successful run on The Dragon in Tennessee.
