Triumphant Motorers Reach the East Coast

MINI TAKES THE STATES 2014 reached a spectacular conclusion when over a thousand Motorers in more than 450 MINIs drove the final part of the epic 5,000-mile coast-to-coast rally into the city of Boston, Massachusetts.

The MINI Motorers who took part in the final leg of the 14-day, 5,000-mile drive into Massachusetts brought to an end the biggest and most popular MINI TAKES THE STATES ever.

The journey began in San Francisco, California, on July 25 and passed through 18 states and 15 cities before concluding with an outstanding end-of-rally celebration party at Boston’s Institute of Contemporary Art.

Around 350 Motorers took part in every stage of the rally driving ‘all the way’ from the west coast to the eastern seaboard in their MINIs.

As the MINI Motorers completed the final leg from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Tom Salkowsky, Head of Marketing at MINI USA, paid tribute to the thousands of MINI fans who had contributed to the spirit and success of the rally. He told the MINI fans as they gathered at the ICA “The fifth MINI TAKES THE STATES has been the biggest and greatest ever.

“MINI TAKES THE STATES 2014 has been all about you. We say that every MINI comes as standard with friends and you have really proved that once again,” he added.
