MINI TAKES THE STATES 2024 REVS UP FOR SCENIC ROAD TRIP ALONG WESTERN U.S.

MINI owners from around the country start their epic journey from Albuquerque, N.M. to Seattle, Wash.

Woodcliff Lake, NJ,  July 15, 2024. MINI TAKES THE STATES (MTTS) 2024, an iconic MINI owners rally hosted by MINI USA, drove out from the scenic roads of Albuquerque, N.M., this weekend to make their way to Seattle, Wash., over a challenging nine-day road trip. Expecting an estimated 3,000 MINI owners over the nine days, with 600-800 MINI Cooper vehicles each day, the event will traverse through five states and nine cities in the western United States before reaching the final destination. This year’s trek, with a theme of “Camp MINI,” is in support of both the American Camp Association and Keep America Beautiful, two organizations dedicated to promoting an adventurous spirit and stewardship for the environment. A portion of each MTTS participant’s registration fee is donated to these organizations.

Now on its ninth run across scenic American roadways, the biennial MTTS rally will cover more than 1,600 miles in total. MINI owners will be traveling up an inland route on state and county roads, with stops in Colorado, Utah and Montana along the way. Natural beauty will be found along the entire route, with MINI owners driving through or by legendary vistas like Rio Grande, Mount Rainier and Yellowstone National Park.

With MTTS, MINI owners have the opportunity to build deeper connections with the brand and with each other at a series of Rise and Rally events that will precede the drives between each stop on the route. They are encouraged to stop by the MTTS charity partner and sponsor booths and meet with the MINI Car Club of America to learn about a host of member benefits and year-round activities that can be found in each region.

In 2022, more than 2,000 MINI owners took part in MINI TAKES THE STATES, which traversed nine states and stopped in eight cities along the eastern United States between Vermont and South Carolina. More than 1,000 MINI vehicles were driven as part of the rally, with 971 owners going “all the way” for the full 1,723-mile journey.

MINI owners looking to join in on the fun can still register at www.MINITAKESTHESTATES.com or on-site the day of the event in each city.
