When 2,515 miles just aren’t enough

Driving 2,515 miles across the US on MINI TAKES THE STATES 2018 is never enough for some of the intrepid motorers who join the cross-country motoring adventure.

Many owners not only drive their vehicles thousands of miles to the start point but they also drive them home again across long distances at the end of the rally.

Take Alex Rasalan and Vince Sundara for example. They chose to drive their MINIs from their base in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in Canada, all the way to the starting point of the western route of MTTS 2018 in Portland, Oregon.

Alex, who drives a red 2015 MINI Hardtop, and Vince, who has brought along his 2012 MINI Coupe, joined the Bacon Invitational Rally, a convoy group of 14 MINIs that were being driven by their owners from the Quebec and upstate New York area to MTTS 2018. Alex and Vince are members of the Winnipeg MINI Owners Club.

There are many similar stories of endeavour and adventure among those on MINI TAKES THE STATES 2018 and you’ll read more about them here as the “Rally to the Rockies” draws closer to Keystone, in Colorado.
